This Departmental Test evaluates student knowledge of basic concepts and outcomes related to the ARTS 1301 Art Appreciation course.

The test consists of 23 multiple choice questions.

There is a 60 minute time limit on this test.

This test is worth 23 points. Unlike the Pre Test, the points aren't automatic. Students must answer the question correctly to receive full credit.



This test evaluates students over the following State mandated and Departmental Learning Outcomes:

State Mandated SLOs:

  1. Apply art terminology as it specifically relates to works of art.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of art elements and principles of design.
  3. Differentiate between the processes and materials used in the production of various works of art. 
  4. Critically interpret and evaluate works of art. 
  5. Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of arts on culture. 

Collin Outcomes: 

  1. Use effective oral, written or visual means to communicate an informed personal reaction to creative aesthetic processes or works of visual art and/or artists.
